En-COURAGE-ment for Educators

Calling all educators, teachers, instructional aides, administrators, professors, custodians, counselors, aspiring teachers, and administrative assistants. This group is for you if you work with students at any level, from preschool to college. By joining, you'll gain access to a supportive community of educational professionals where you can share experiences, seek advice, and find encouragement in your journey as an educator.

The small group is led by Maddy and Keri, who have over 40 years of teaching and/or educational administration experience together and are committed to creating a supportive atmosphere for their colleagues to grow into the educational professionals God has called us to be. Meetings include praying over collected prayer requests, worship, and discussions from the devotional “Teach Uplifted.” We hope to create a network of people you can go to laugh, cry, and celebrate the ups and downs of teaching today.

Meetings will be held monthly. Ideally, we would like to see you regularly, but we will accept “walk-ins” and those who attend as needed.

Keri and Maddy have been in education for more than 40 years combined. Keri is a Social Studies Teacher at Bloomfield High School (Essex County) and the former Director of Education and Outreach at the NJ Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation. Madelyn is the Site Director for the Mile Square Early Learning Center in Hoboken.
